DIASTEMA O DIENTES SEPARADOS

DIASTEMA O DIENTES SEPARADOS
A diastema is a larger-than-normal space between the teeth. This condition usually occurs in the upper incisors or blades and it is more common to find it in the smile of the smallest

Treatment to close the diastema is usually done for aesthetic reasons, since this condition does not usually affect the correct functioning of the oral cavity. What treatments can we do to eliminate it?

- Orthodontics, to reposition the teeth and close the gap

- Surgical removal of the frenulum or mesiodens

- If it is due to trauma, it is best to treat as soon as possible, anesthetize, reposition the tooth and finally fix it with a splint.
