Enemy foods of white teeth

This selection of foods and drinks tends to stain your teeth and compromise the aesthetics of your mouth.
If your smile is not what it was and your teeth are a little opaque, there is a possibility that the food is playing tricks on you. Why? Because there are certain foods that stain the teeth, preventing them from looking as white as they were. Good nutrition affects all aspects of our body, even in the mouth.

Of course, oral health is directly related to hygiene, which not only involves brushing but also the use of dental floss and mouthwash. In addition, it is recommended to clean the denture after each meal and visit the dentist twice a year. Here we leave a list of the main enemies of our teeth, if they are consumed in excess.

1- Coffee
Although this drink includes beneficial properties and continues to be investigated, it is also possible that, in the long term, its color adheres easily to the teeth.

2- Tea
We continue with the item. Although in this case the spots are less noticeable than those caused by coffee, they can appear on the dental plaque over time.

3- Wine
Another dark colored drink whose benefits are still studied. However, the tannic acid it contains can cause corrosion in the enamel that affects its color. How to avoid it? Well, drinking in moderation and brushing your teeth after ingesting it are two good ideas.

4- Soft drinks
Those that contain gas are the worst, although they all cause a yellowish color in our poor smile.

5- Juices
They contain many added sugars that cause stains on the teeth, although we can solve it if we opt for natural juices instead of artificial ones.

6- Red fruits
We start with food. The pigment of these tempting fruits adheres easily to the teeth, hence the stains they cause. Another disadvantage? The remains, once chewed, are embedded between the teeth.

7- Vegetables
Of course not all are enemies of whiteness, but those dark or orange can cause stains more easily.

8- Sauces and condiments
We leave nothing to chance: this can also dull the teeth if consumed in large quantities. Curry or vinegar, for example, has many bleaching agents.

9- Candies
Rivals of oral health in general, its high amount of sugar and dyes predisposes to the appearance of spots, in addition to the already known caries.
