Take care of your dental health or ... you can get injured

Did you know that oral health has unequivocal repercussions on our bodybuilding?
This is well known by all elite athletes and for that reason they take great care of what they eat and how they handle their oral hygiene.

Some years ago, studies were carried out on groups of players and a close relationship was established between oral hygiene and the frequency with which players suffered muscular injuries unrelated to direct impacts or blows.

It was concluded that players with poor oral health were more frequently injured than those with good oral hygiene and health. And so they found that many joint and muscle injuries are the result of infectious foci in the mouth (caries, chopped teeth, etc.).

Infections in the mouth such as caries can affect various parts of the body, such as the cardiology system and the kidneys. When bacteria go through the bloodstream, they deposit in muscles and joints, causing tears, muscle fatigue, joint pains, tendon injuries, among other conditions.

So, to ensure a good sports performance, do not forget to also take care of your mouth.
