Isabel Díaz Ayuso, named Honorary Academic of the Academy of Dental Sciences of Spain
The recognition, granted in a solemn ceremony held at the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy, highlights the contribution of the president of the Community of Madrid to the oral health of the people of Madrid.

In a solemn ceremony held at the National Academy of Pharmacy, the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has been distinguished as an Honorary Academician of the Academy of Dental Sciences of Spain.

The ceremony, chaired by Dr. Antonio Bascones Martínez, president of the Academy, was attended by prominent authorities such as Dr. Óscar Castro Reino, president of the General Council of Dentists of Spain; or Dr. Antonio Luis Doadrio, president of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy, along with numerous personalities from the world of Medicine and Dentistry.

In her speech, Isabel Díaz Ayuso expressed her gratitude for the appointment and highlighted that the regional government works “to integrate oral health into a broader concept, one that is comprehensive and oriented toward prevention and health promotion.”

The head of the regional Executive has stressed that with this objective the Oral Health Plan of the Community of Madrid has been designed, which has an investment of 20 million euros and is aimed at the most vulnerable people, which includes enhancing care to children and pregnant women. He has also highlighted the extension of the review to people over 65 years of age, children under 6 years of age and the population at risk of exclusion, as well as help in financing dental prostheses and caries treatments for patients over 80. “This step allows us "It becomes the only region in our country that provides this type of assistance to its elderly people free of charge," he noted.

After this appointment, Dr. María Trinidad Herrero Ezquerro, professor of Anatomy of Murcia, took possession of the Academy's medals of honor; and Dr. Eduardo García Toledano, Public Health Advisor of the World Health Organization. These additional recognitions reflect the continued commitment and excellence in the field of health and research of its protagonists.
